Description

PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER).  OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.


HIDEOUSLY RARE original Howie Weinberg mastered yellow & red label Europadisk first pressing of this now-iconic no wave classic from 1983 on the massively collectable 99 Records label with MASTERDISK dead wax stamp on both side!!!  Vinyl is VG- visually ONLY with some very light paper scuffs, none that can be felt even lightly.  Plays fantastically with minimal background noise.  Cover is fair with a thin 6 and a half inch strip missing at the opening at the bottom on the rear.  This is the copy you want to play and ENJOY.  This 12" has been bootlegged to death with some almost exact replicas out there but the surefire way to tell if you have an original is by the dead wax info and this one is unmistakably legit with Howie's initials right beneath the Masterdisk stamps and the Europadisk logo stamped (NOT etched) on both sides as well.  This is a 100% guaranteed original first pressing.  Originally performing under the moniker Liquid Idiot, there's not a chance in hell these guys had any clue as to how incalculably influential this record would become when it was first released.  If you're reading this you most likely already know Cavern's hip-hop connection but all four tracks on here are so far ahead of their time it's mind-boggling.  Funky, jazzy, punky, artsy, dance-y and indie all at once, every fan of music in general needs this record.
