INFO : Melbourne outfit Little Murders debut offering provided two fine slabs of late seventies punk/power-pop, and being the third single released on the Au Go Go label it is eagerly sought after. The band in effect were Australia’s own version of the new wave of power pop in the late 1970s and early 1980s. They were the premier mod band on the Melbourne independent music scene at that time and grew their fan base with releases such as Things Will Be Different, 100 Drugs and She Let’s Me Know. Although the band broke up in the mid 1980s, they reformed at various times over the next 25 years playing to enthusiastic crowds around Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.
This single, originally planned to be a 3-track EP, is actually a ripper both sides with scorching punk-like rockers at full throttle, reminiscent of The Saints. “Things Will Be Different” has since become an anthem amongst mods in Australia … go and youtube these 2 numbers and I guarantee you will be impressed.
To stumble across this somewhat ‘holy grail of its’ genre’, complete with the cat/mouse sleeve in such great condition is a real find for collectors.
CONDITION: Note : All records (except where Mint) have been vacuum-machine cleaned and fully played on a quality system to determine an accurate grading.
This item will be safely packed and includes a new outer plastic cover.
· Vinyl : In a word … superb !! Full gloss, no marks and plays like new both sides. A fantastic clean sound throughout that cannot be faulted. Very strong EX+ easily.
· Labels : Clean as per photos above.
· Sleeve : Original fold over company cover plus plain white inner sleeve in excellent condition. No writing. No splits. No edge-wear.
