Description
Little Walter - Best of (1957): Original Chess mono pressing of this 53 year old gem! This LP plays in marvelous condition. LP has a number of very light marks that cannot be felt and don't greatly affect the sound. The entire collection of blues and R&B LPs I'm listing this week are in stellar condition. Here I’ve included a sound sample of the track with the most noticeable scuffs (not really so noisy!):
Cover is beautiful! Rare to find a R&B or Blues record of this era with such a perfectly maintained cover! It has no seam splits, tears, cut-outs or writing, it was in a plastic sleeve that seems to have kept it this amazing for it's 50+ years. The white back cover shows little to no sleeve wear at all, looks like it could have been bought yesterday !! Original black Chess label. Labels show almost no spindle wear and are in great shape like many of the R&B and Jazz LPs I'm listing (Check 'em out!).
Little Walter was in good company. Chess also had on it's roster blues greats John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson, and early rock and rollers Chuck Berry, Dale Hawkins and Bo Diddley
