The YARDBIRDS
"LIVE YARDBIRDS"
EPIC RECORDS E 30615 ~ Vintage First Release pressing vinyl in STEREO
MATRIXES END 1A - 1A
The YARDBIRDS remain the most respected of all R'n B bands from the 1960's, due to their amazing pedigree of musicians going through their ranks.
From Top Topham who left before they recorded due to his young age, Eric Clapton who went on to form Cream after a stint with The Blkuesbreakers (see my other auction!), Jeff Beck who formed his own lead group with Rod Stewart on vocals, and Jimmy Page who took the baton on to superstardom Worldwide, with Led Zeppelin.
Whew, some players!
Here is the band in their psychedelic final throes really, but they dig deep and play amazingly - including a couple of numbers that formed the basis of Zep's repertoir.
