LIVERPOOL marcelo zona sul EP
OS MUTANTES, EAT YOUR HEART OUT!
This, my friend is one of the best records in the whole world and it is up there with the first Os Mutantes LP whe it comes to great brazilian psychedelic music. A soundtrack full with great tunes.
The haunting “Marcelo” with funky breakbeat drums and lots of fuzz, dig the break. Slow melancholic tune “Fossa de Marcelo” and maybe my favourite “Exciting posters” - a fuzzed out psych monster with funky breakbeat drums!
On the other side of the EP we have the slow melancholic tropicalia tune “Renata”which just builds and builds! “Danca da chuva” is another fuzzed out psych monster with crazy percussion jams. The last tarck on the EP is the great haunting psych tune “Cancao da volta”
