various -- Stereo For The Joy Of It: Pop Music Of Today In The Sound Of Tomorrow 9-LP Set

Genre: Jazz, Latin, Pop
Style: Space-Age, Afro-Cuban, Big Band, Vocal, Easy Listening

Bound set of Living Stereo LPs (including artwork) and an 8-page booklet with new liner notes for each release, all bound into an oversize "book" with very heavy-duty extra-thick front and back covers. This remarkable collection was intended as a showcase of RCA's then-fledgling Stereo catalog. According to some sources this set was given to RCA salesmen as a reward for great work and it was never for sale. Each record comes in a top-opening paper jacket with album artwork very similar to the standard releases. The cover design layouts have been customized for this release, and the back covers are completely unique to this release. Each cover is ring-bound into the book along the left margin.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This set is not complete, it is missing the New Glenn Miller Orchestra record (LSP-1678.) So it contains 9 records, not the original 10 records. The cover for LSP-1678 is present, bound with all the rest, just the record is missing... and since the records in this set are same as standard releases, you could complete this set by finding a standard release of LSP-1678. What's very special about this item is the packaging and artwork, all of which is complete.

Shipping And Payment Info

Vinyl can be shipped worldwide via any method.
I will combine shipping. Winners of multiple items save substantially on shipping costs.

Priority Mail is a highly recommended option for all vinyl, it's a lot faster and much more secure -- I double-box (and sometimes triple-box) all LP's shipped via Priority Mail. Cost is reasonable and calculated based on your zip code.

Shipping costs include delivery confirmation for all US orders.

Combine shipping with other items: The cost of each extra item is calculated automatically based on weight: if you want to add a record or CD to your order the cost is less than $1, usually around 50 cents per extra item depending on total weight.

Combine shipping with other items: If you want to add a normal-weight record (7", 12", or LP) or CD to your order the cost is reasonable, usually not more than $3.99 per extra item, often less, depending on total weight.

All records are packaged securely, protected by both stiff and cushion packaging, with vinyl (in original innersleeve) removed from cover and placed safely in poly sleeve to help prevent seam splitting during transit.

I can usually accommodate special shipping requests or special payment requirements, just ask.
