L'J IV (London Jazz Four) – An Elizabethan Songbook (12” LP)
The London Jazz Four are: Brian Moore (bass), Mike McNaught (piano),  Jim Philip (flute) and Mike Travis (drums). From the sleeve notes: “Here are four gentlemen of music with beautiful English souls! They have done a musical job with this album that they can be proud of, for it starts in the sixteenth centuary and ends in the twenty-first century. As I listened to each track I realise the time and love they have put into it, plus the BLUES! There is much I could say about each member but I feel this is unneccesary because you will get your own feelings and reactions as you listen. I have known two of these gentlemen for many years. I have seen them grow musically each year so I am proud of them and this album becayse YES, they have arrived in their own right!…” Eugene Wright.

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl side 1: very good (has a few noticeable superficial marks that do not affect the audio in any way, plays excellent with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl side 2: excellent (has the odd light superficial mark that does not affect the audio in any way, plays excellent with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Cover (front laminated): very good (the odd small light crease around the edges, light aging and and a light sticker removal mark on back).
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a
complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy on return of the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.  1706 (GS 9.9 (1706))
