Description
PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
RARE original Howie Weinberg mastered Def Jam DMM first pressing from May 29, 1987 with embossed lettering on the front cover!!! LP is a nice VG+ with a scuff on the Bigger side and cover is easily VG+. close to VG++, with some light ring. Auction also includes not one, but two ULTRA RARE rigid two-sided 12 X 12 in-store promotional displays put out by parent company CBS in 1987 with glossy album cover art on the reverse!!! I bought these from a former Tower Records (R.I.P.) manager who loved LL and decided to rescue these from the Tower wall for her own private collection (which was staggeringly impressive). She told me that 99% of these displays were either tossed after they were displayed or never displayed at all and then tossed. Tower staff saw them as disposable swag and clutter and as a result very few survived from the 1980s. One display has two small top left hand corner peel spots and the other has a tiny pin hole in the corners so you know these graced the Tower walls. VERY collectable so don't sleep LL fans.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING: MINT (SEALED)
NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE
VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS
GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
