LOBBY LOYDE - S/T CALENDAR RECORDS (FESTIVAL RECORDS) L 15266, 1974.
Seminal early 70's guitar blaster from OZ rock guitarist Lobby Loyde, ex Wild Cherries, and Coloured Balls. This is a second issue of the first solo album from 1972 "Plays With George Guitar". The original issue had a pretty understated sleeve, so for this second issue a couple of years later, they gave it another understated sleeve!
Musically this is acidic-three piece band blasting. It truly was , it was recorded overnight in a studio "lock-in" with Lobby and Pals dropping a tab, getting "nekkid" and blasting away. It really sounds like it too!
Condition: All the seams of the cover are fully intact, and full glossy laminate on front. The black and white rear of cover has moderate ring wear. Overall cover is graded EX.
THe album itself is EX+ very nearly M-, certainly nice and clean.
