BERNADETTE (version parlee) / BERNADETTE (version orchestrale) ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by L'OEIL. Original French 1st BIEM pressing on the FONTANA label (6010 025), from 1970. Cult and desirable French masterpiece featuring the funky B-boy breaks and insane vocals of BERNADETTE. Delirious, psychedelic jerk rhythms by crack studio session men led by Bob du Pac. Lots of thunderous basslines / Incredible Bongo Band style percussion / hard piano / hammond and male to female call-and-response style vocal interplay. Great for DJs. Comped on Wizzz ! Psychorama Français 66 - 71. The BERNADETTE (version orchestrale) side is also superb. Dub production / fuzz distortions / crazy male scat vocals a la Bernard Estardy and even harder hammond organ. This is an important French single that fits into the Eddie Louiss - Baby Chorus / Philippe Nicaud - C'Ex and Lucifer & Co - Amen sound. Booming production. Amazing pop art sleeve too. Very rare 45!!

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG+ condition with hairlines. Booming production sound. The thick card, pop art picture sleeve is in strong VG+ condition with general wear. Corner and edge wear with some card deterioration. Some mini tears (mostly to open side). No languette. Age discoloration / ring dirt marks. Mini seam split to middle of top edge and a split to middle of spine side. Very rare 45!!!
