I RECENTLY PURCHASED A LARGE COLLECTION OF GREAT CONDITION STEREO CLASSICAL LPs PRESSED IN THE LATE 1950s AND EARLY 1960s, INCLUDING TITLES FROM THE MERCURY LIVING PRESENCE, RCA LIVING STEREO, AND LONDON FFss 'BLUEBACK' CATALOGS - I'LL BE OFFERING THESE LPs FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS - This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1959 OR EARLY 1960s PRESS LONDON RECORDS 'BLUEBACK' COVER U.S. PRESS STEREO 3 LP BOX SET containing performances of fourteen Chopin works for piano as performed by Wilhelm Kempff. It is London Records catalog number CSA 2305, 'blueback' back cover on box, maroon wideband labels with 'Full Frequency Stereophonic Sound' inscribed inside the wide band on the labels, rigid vinyl deep groove pressing, 4K/4E stampers on Record 1, 2E/1K stampers on Record 2, and 1E/1E stampers on Record 3. Condition of Records 2 and 3 is a SOLID NM with no visible surface marks. Condition of Record 1 is NM- with a couple of very light surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Record 1 also has a number of small flat bumps in the play surface which also have absolutely no effect on play. Condition of box is a high VG+ with a little writing near the upper right corner of the back of the box, a little contact wear, and a little wear along the edges and on the corners. Gold leaf print along the spine is somewhat faded. Box has no splits, tears, or stickers, and no torn corners. The original London Records poly-lined inner sleeves are present and in good shape. This rigid vinyl deep groove vintage press London 'Blueback' LP box set would make a nice addition to any classical record collection!
