Description
Fantastic folk-rock Freakbeat 1966 LP by CHRIS (= LONG CHRIS) who used to do rock and roll and country eps in the early 60's (Long Chris et les Daltons) before doing this weird and great LP . heavy Dylan and folk rock influences (he does a great BOB DYLAN cover of "She belongs to me"= "elle m'appartient" and some songs such as "nevralgie particulière" or "plan de fugue" could have been out-takes from Highway 61 or Bringing it all back home LPs!!) . "CHANSONS BIZARRES POUR GENS ETRANGES" (Philips P 70 353 ) is the ultimate alongside Ronnie Bird of the french rock/beat 60's scene ! Has some great folk musicians (Steve waring) and great arrangers/orchestra directors such as PAUL PIOT or ERIC DE MARSAN. has many drugs reference (the old "cocaine" song is now called "Hashish") . 2 masterpieces there: "La ballade du fils indigne" which is great great folk rock/dylan-like song and "nevralgie particuliere" Killer freakbeat acid with fuzz guitars! sleeve in strong VG++/near Ex condition front cover sharp and shining with just a fold on top left corner and tiny wears on corners . back cover has tiny tear on extreme left border. disc Ex with some REALLY TINY surface noise plays great great great!!
