One of the 500 copies pressed years ago, STONE GARDEN received high praise from the universal hardrock collectors core. This album was previously unreleased due to its NON-COMMERCIAL sound.
Stone Garden- The rare 1969 recordings from this acid-rock drenched band from Idaho. Previously unreleased album was pressed in a limited production of 500 by Rockadelic Records some 20 years ago and long sold out. There are dominate influences of Cream, Hendrix, and The Doors that prevail all through this album!!

Overall this is one of the more popular titles released by the legendary Rockadelic label and is clearly an above average transition document from late 60s S F Bay Area eclecticism into crude Northwest hardrock. The band was once thought to be an early version of Fraction which is not true, although their 45 (on Fraction's label) packs a similar intensity and is present here in two versions, both excellent. The LP is enjoyable all through with high-point in a couple of hard guitar-psych excursions on side 2, and the band shows more talent and variation than the standard basement outfits from the era. Extra points for obvious teen psych remains, and even the goodtimey track about being busted for pot in S F is agreeable. One of the best of the label's releases.... .
