STEAM PACKET (longboatmen) "viva l'amour/ " trouble and tea" (swedish polydor nh 59733 1967)
Originally called themselves Steam packet, they had to change their name to avoid mix-up with Rod's , Julie's... Steampacket and they re-named as Longboatmen but they kept their original name in their swedish releases. What we find here is a storming Manfred mann's cover much harder than the original ( and of course far rarer than that) with a really apotheosic end. A true rare record with one of my Manfred's favourite tunes. "Viva l' amour" is a nice bubblegum party track. I sold one of these some weeks ago by "buy it now option" in a few hours so don't sleep!!
