LOS BOOGALOOS was a high-impact studio project created by the legendary Orfeon label in Mexico City in 1967. Designed to capitalize on the Boogaloo fever exploding in New York, the group brought together elite session musicians from the Mexican "Ola Inglesa" (Rock) and Tropical scenes. The result was a unique hybrid: the raw backbeat of Mexican rock-and-roll drums combined with aggressive horns and montuno piano riffs.
