THE (LOS) SHAKERS - SAME
BRA 1965, Fermata FB 127
Rare Brazilian original of the debut by the "South American Beatles" from Uruguay. They look like the Beatles and they sound like them. But, strangely enough, 12 of the 14 tracks on this LP are Shakers-originals. And they are so good - even the Beatles would have been proud of them. Great record!
Has two rarity points in Hans Pokora's book "1001 Record Collector Dreams".
For a South American record of the age, this copy is still in very good shape.
Vinyl: vg(+)
looks rather vg(-) with a lot of hairscratches, but plays surprisingly well; the songs mostly sound ex, there's only slight crackle between the tracks and in some more silent passages)
Cover: vg+
a piece of clear tape in the middle of the spine, name on cover (great handwriting!); apart from that still great)
Labels: vg+
faded name on both labels - hardly visible at all)
Bewertungssystem Vinyl / Grading system for vinyl:
m-: So gut wie neu, keine Nebengeräusche / As good as new, without any background noise
Shows only very minor signs that it was played. There might only be very, very light crackle at times, but nothing serious. Even most mint-collectors should be satisfied with records in this category.
vg+: Zeitweise leichtes Knistern oder auch mal ein vereinzeltes Knacksen, aber absolut hörenswert / Light occasional crackle and perhaps an occasional minor “pop” might occur; still very good to listen to.
There is (occasional) background noise, but no major flaws. Details are explained in each description.
Still enjoyable, but background noise can at times disturb the fun. Details are explained in each description.
