LOU DONALDSON "Takes Off" ORIGINAL 1958 BLUE NOTE #1591 DG, RVG, EAR, WEST 63rd St LP! Hard to find first press Deep Groove MONO LP with RVG (recorded by Rudy Van Gelder) and the ear etched in the dead wax trail-off. Labels and back cover have the 47 West 63rd Street, New York address. Laminated Cover is in VG to VG- condition with overall light wear, some stains on back, lamination is lifting along opening with an approx. 4" x 5" area of lamination missing on lower right side, bottom seam has a 3" split in center, all corners have some fraying along seams, there is a very small hole on the bottom right front cover & spine has a couple of tiny nicks. Vinyl is in VG condition with light overall scratches on both sides but nothing deep. Record has been TEST PLAYED and sounds great with very little background noise and NO skips. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS.
