SATELLITE OF LOVE TWELVE INCH VINYL POP ART COVER RARE VOCAL MIXES

Highly sought after and long since out of print 12 inch vinyl with pop art cover suitable for display and record in very good plus condition.  Only a handful of these were pressed back in 2004 and offered up at a few DJ shops in London. Features stellar mixes of this legendary track and features unique accentuated vocals by both Lou Reed and David Bowie. The ultimate gift for any collector and a very rare piece that will continue to grow in value.

"Satellite of Love" was composed in 1970 while Reed was still a member of the Velvet Underground. David Bowie, who produced the album with Mick Ronson, provided background vocals, especially for the final chorus. Reed wrote later: "He has a melodic sense that's just well above anyone else in rock & roll. Most people could not sing some of his melodies. He can really go for a high note. Take 'Satellite of Love,' on my Transformer album. There's a part at the very end where his voice goes all the way up. It's fabulous
