Description
Up for auction is a beautiful original copy of the Lou Reed album "Transformer" originally released in the U.S. on RCA Records (LSP 4807) in 1972.
-Guaranteed original pressing
-Still in opened original shrink wrap
-Original Hype sticker on cover
-Original orange RCA Dynaflex labels
-No UPC/bar code on cover
Condition:
Cover is beautiful, still in original shrink wrap. No significant signs of wear. Just a small bump on upper left corner. Shrink is intact, no tears. Shrink has some sticker residue upper right corner (see photo). Very hard to upgrade. Top copy.
Grade: Near Mint Minus (NM-)
Vinyl is also beautiful, still has its original shine. No significant scratches or scuffs, just some faint, superficial "shadows" and tiny hairline of having been taken out of paper inner sleeve a couple times. Has some pressing dimples on the rim edge--that do not affect playback. Labels are clean, unmarked, no marks around spindle holes. Looks like this record has maybe been played only once previously but handled with extreme care.
Play-Tested:
These early '70s RCA records were pressed on very thin vinyl, and even if they appear NM, they can be a little uneven in terms of audio quality. This copy has some light pressing noise on the run-in but sounds very nice once the music kicks in. There is some light pressing noise here and there, but nothing too distracting. Not audiophile perfect, but still a very nice original pressing.
