Description

Louis Armstrong and his Hot Five playing "A Monday Date" and "Sugar Foot Strut" on an original black label Okeh. This is a pristeen copy of this 1928 classic featuring Earl Hines. I'm tempted to grade it E+ (it certainly sounds like it), but it's not 'glossy' per-se, so I'll stop at E. This copy plays clean as a whistle! A gorgeous record.

Media shipping available for $4.00; I'd recommend going Priority.

SEP. 15 ADDITION:

I should have looked a little more closely before listing. When making a 'goodbye' transfer of this disc with a 2.8 CT stylus, I noticed 2 things. While the "Monday Date" side is exactly as described, "Sugar Foot Strut" looks and sounds like E rather than E+. There is a bit of static there. Also, the 'Sugar Foot' side has a small lam crack that extends about 1/2" into the grooves, and does sound lightly. If this affects any previously placed bids, I'll certainly let you cancel them.
