** Super rare very first-ever MONO 1966 UK ELEKTRA pressing of the debut LP by ARTHUR LEE'S band LOVE. This record is pressed on much thicker vinyl than later pressings, and has the super-rare TEXTURED GOLD LABEL - with the Elektra name and "E" logo both printed in BLACK text - not white, like later issues. **

An Excellent condition disc. A few minor surface scuffs/marks, and few very minor small light scratches.. No spindle marks/wear. Original MONO mixes of both sides. No skips, jumps, warps, writing on labels, or deep scratches to vinyl. Very minor original pressing defect to extreme edge of one side (see photos), which causes no problem whatsoever. Excellent clear, punchy sound quality throughout, with it being a MONO mix. Some minor surface noise in quieter parts.. Very clear sound. Tested on a Thorens turntable.

Original non-laminated sleeve in Excellent condition. One of the first rock albums to have full-colour printing on both sides. Sleeve is printed in the USA (as were ALL original UK Elektra copies of this LP..). Only very minor general wear to the sleeve. No seam splits anywhere. Very little wear or damage to spine, and all text still clearly legible. Very little wear to opening edge. A number (2409) is neatly written inside the sleeve for some reason. No other writing on outside of sleeve.

Supplied in white inner sleeve with poly lining.

GRADING:

All records are graded using the 'Record Collector' format:

MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
