LOVE: Da Capo UK 1st press 1967 Electra/Polydor EKL4005 Mono LP VG+
The disc is in very good/plus condition. This record is 47 years old but has not been played for at least 30 years. There are some superficial surface marks on the disc and very light audible surface sound on the track run ins which does not detract from the overall reproduction quality*. The cover shows some signs of storage/ring wear and a 3M Magic tape repair to prevent deterioration to minor scuff and laminate crease damage on and near the spine. Please see the photographs.
*A record of this age however well stored will collect a certain amount of dust and specks of paper fibre from the inner sleeve. As far as possible I carefully remove any surface dust with a carbon fibre brush and lens cleaning cloth and then describe the condition of the disc after a test play.
I have achieved impressive enhanced reproduction quality almost eliminating any surface noise on records of a similar age by a thorough wet clean with a solution of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water.
This LP was test played on a Garrard 401 turntable with SME arm and Shure V15 cartridge/stylus with a tracking force of 1 gram.
