Description
Vinyl Grade: VERY GOOD +
Label Grades: EXCELLENT
Jacket Grade: EXCELLENT
NOTES: PLAY TESTED ON A DENON MODEL DP-61F TURNTABLE WITH A NEW DENON DL-110 HIGH OUTPUT MOVING COIL CARTRIDGE. The vinyl has full gloss. There are hairline scratches that can be seen in bright light but cannot be felt. Side 1 plays without skips or repeats. There is some light noise/crackle heard mostly between tracks but is not constant. There are also some sporadic pops and tics. Side 2 plays much like side 1 without skips or repeats. There is light noise/crackle with a few more noticeable ticks but again they are not constant. It does have a scratch that can be felt but luckily is only heard just as the last track (5), is fading out and extends into the dead wax. All songs play very well with little distraction. Overall sound quality of this record is very enjoyable. PLAY LOUD! The labels are clean and crisp with faint spindle trails. The cover has full gloss and bright color. There are small areas of partial faint ring wear/rub both top and bottom of less than 3 inches (PLEASE SEE PHOTOS). The bottom front seam has three light creases and a faint moisture stain in the bottom right corner. Overall this is a fabulous looking cover for being 50 years old. The inner sleeve is the original Elektra that has a large record slit on the bottom seam. The LP has been placed in a new generic white sleeve to protect the original from any further damage during shipping or storage. The album is in an outer heavy-duty poly protective sleeve. TERRE HAUTE PRESSING. LARGE "E"

Grading is a subjective thing. As Goldmine states, there is a high end and low end within all grade levels. I have provided many photographs so that you can examine the item very carefully. You will receive exactly what is photographed.
PROMOTIONAL COPIES: Promotional copies usually came from FIRST PRESSINGS. First pressings matter to audiophiles. Cover drills (holes), corner cuts and cover notches were a common way for the record labels to mark and identify non-returnable promo copies. These covers may not look the best but it may be the best vinyl you can find. If it's the listening experience you're looking for you may want to give one a try.
