Description

We have for sale this fantastic UK LP from Love entitled 'Forever Changes'.

Cover - Very Good

Inner - Plain Original Inner, Very Good

Vinyl - Very Good (Playing) / Very Good (Visually)

Matrix - K42015 A1 / K42015 B1 (Oddly, the original first press matrixes EKS74013 A1/B1 are still visible in the run-out groove as well, is this a original that was still in the factory and then re-labelled?)

This original UK Elektra 1972 Press LP (with the Elektra 'Butterfly' labels) plays well with no jumps or skips or any real loss of sound quality. There is crackle at the start of each side but this does subside by the end of the first track, the rest of the LP plays well, so overall we have graded this LP as very good. Visually, we also grade this LP as very good. There are no fingerprint marks, no hairline scratches, 1 surface mark in track 1 on each side (that causes the crackle) and no paper scuffs. The labels are clean and are free from writing, marks and stains with just one spindle trace.

The original plain inner is in very good condition, it is intact with no marks, stains or writing, just some browning.

The original Garrod & Lofthouse cover is in very good condition. There is minimal scuffing to the corners and none on the edges. The spine is clean and all of the words are completely readable. The laminated front cover has some rubbing/ringwear that has attracted a little grubbiness. The unlaminated back cover has rubbing/ringwear as well. Overall, this cover is intact, no stains, marks or writing. Have a look at all the pictures for further details.

Overall this is in very good condition and is a great addition to anyone's collection.

All gradings are in accordance with the Record Collector's Grading System which is listed at the bottom of this write-up for reference.

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
