Description
Pleased to offer this extremely nice condition, exceedingly rare, original first US Elektra stereo pressing.
This is Loves' legendary Psych masterpiece...Forever Changes.
Decca EKL-4013 with Stereo sticker!
This is the very first ('first of the first') release of Forever Changes. They used the original stock mono cover, but affixed the 'stereo' sticker onto the front. I'm surmising the stock stereo covers were not yet available, when this was pressed. Note that the rear cover references the (incorrect) mono EKL-4013. This is a very rare pressing.
Matrices:
EKS 74013A (MON-1) 11348
EKS 74013B (MON) 11250-X
MR in circle...this is an original, legendary Monarch pressing!
Plays in Stereo.
Play graded and sounds wonderful. On my unforgiving 2M Blue cartridge, there are some small hints of background noise during quieter sections, but this is a fabulous copy. Clear and glossy...looks as good as she sounds.
Cover NM-
Beautifully preserved, this cover presents wonderfully. No hint of ringwear, and spine and seams are strong and tight. Tiny corner bumps. Please do see the photos, and if you'd like more images, just let me know.
Original Elektra sleeve is also present, in excellent condition.
