CONDITION

Vinyl: EX

(A beautiful thick heavy vinyl 1969 UK first pressing which still retains its full gloss and sheen showing only a few very light marks and inaudible wispy hairlines. Despite a little spindle wear to both sides of the label, the vinyl has been carefully handled by myself from new and is otherwise very clean - an excellent original copy. The record delivers excellent audio throughout with great powerful sound clarity and only occasional minor static. A fabulous original UK 1st pressing of this LOVE masterpiece)

Labels: EX

(Original Orange and Silver labels are clean with a few spindle traces)

LP Sleeve: near EX

(The original 'MacNeill Press' non laminated matt sleeve has been well preserved since the day it was bought nearly 40 years ago! There are a few light scuffs on the front, with small creases mainly near the spine and edges, along with a little shelfwear on the top and bottom seams, nothing too serious. The spine is perfectly legible and clear with just a few small scuffs and tiny bumps. Overall the sleeve is in solid near excellent condition, one of the best examples I have seen on account of its fragile non laminated matt finish)

1969 UK original 1st pressing issue of this hard to find Elektra Orange label beauty by the legendary US 60s psych group LOVE

On offer here, from my own collection, is an excellent condition original 1969 UK 1st pressing vinyl LP of Arthur Lee and co's fourth album, on the UK (Made In Great Britain) 1st press Elektra orange label.

"Four Sail" was the album that followed the monumental "Forever Changes", and since the original group had splintered apart, Arthur Lee had formed a new Love, a more stripped-down band of four ("Four Sail," get it?) and delivered one last LP to Elektra. Heavier in sound, it still remains a true Love classic. The sound is different, but Lee's great songwriting delivered incredible aural delights in "August", "Always See Your Face", "Dream", "Singing Cowboy", "Nothing", "Robert Montgomery", "Good Times" and "Talking In My Sleep".

Arthur Lee was a one-of-a-kind, you've never heard anyone like him! There are numerous moments on this record of genuine beauty and coolness! This magnificent album is a 'must have' and quite essential for 60's psych-rock  afficionados.
