LOVE - 'LOVE'. MONO. UK ELEKTRA. EKL 4001 (1966).

Fantastic MONO UK press copy with full glossy laminated sleeve (front & back) in EX to EX+ condition. Vinyl grades EX to EX+ due to occasional (very slight) surface marks. Hardly ever seen. The MONO mix is amazing. Rare debut UK title by this great band. Tough to score a UK copy with UK sleeve. Some of the earliest pressings came with a USA card sleeve, but these slightly later laminated UK sleeves are much harder to find, and having a UK pressing of an Elektra album somehow seems more desirable with a glossy fully laminated UK printed Elektra sleeve. Only a very few survive like this. Most copies are scratched up and overplayed on inferior 1960's equipment with a heavy stylus - not this one!

A few of the VERY top UK eBay dealers buy certain items from me privately and several items which I have sold them have surfaced on their own eBay listings. The selling prices for their auctions are very high - so buy with confidence - my grading is accurate in all my listings.

The fully laminated sleeve is really clean and devoid of the issues which usually plague this type of cover. No discolouration, no bends, no writing, no sticker marks or tears - just the very lightest handling and storage wear along the edges. Fully intact and legible spine (see photos). This sleeve has truly escaped the rigors of time. The vinyl has a very few surface marks and some noise in quieter places, so grades between EX and EX+ and the MONO mix cuts through superbly. Super rare and gorgeous copy - and so rarely found. Nearly 50 years old!

The time has come for me to start selling off big chunks of my otherwise 'keeper' collection. Some of these records are incredibly hard to find in such superb condition. The records in my eBay listings are from my own personal record collection. I am not a record dealer. Some particular records I have bought two or three times over - just to get that special 'keeper' copy. These listings are the fruits of my collecting effort which spans over 25 years.

Regarding postage and shipping:  I am not Amazon.com.  I go to the post office once or possibly twice a week.  During the holidays it will be increasingly painful, so be patient.  "Priority mail" means it goes by air...it does not mean it goes out in the next hour.  I have never had a package lost and have never had any complaints about packing - in fact my packaging rates among the best on eBay. I use cruciform mailers (usually doubled-up) and loads of parcel tape to ensure a strong package.

I have no need to use the words MEGA, ULTRA, or c**p on about how many of these LPs got trashed at parties. I try to avoid exhaustive usage of exclamation marks in my honest descriptions and I also avoid the over-use of CAPITAL letters (unless they are used for relevant emphasis to my auction description) and I do not wish to shout at my buyers. I know that you know about the records you wish to purchase. One other thing - I do not sell items which have had the opening edges of the cover trimmed by a guillotine or blade to make the covers appear in better condition. Some other sellers do this as a regular practice, and it's just not on.
