"DA CAPO"

1967

1st UK MONO pressing

on the orange ELEKTRA Label

EKL 4005

EKL 4005 1A & EKL 4005 1B

1st Pressing Matrix Numbers

Cover:  Unlaminated non-gatefold 1st pressing MONO cover in Excellent+ condition. No writings, doodles or seam splits. You will struggle to find a better one than this.

This is the very rare earliest unlaminated cover that was made in the USA and imported to the UK because the UK covers were delayed at the printers. You can tell it is the imported cover as it has both the USA and the UK Elektra addresses at the base of the rear cover. The later UK pressed covers were laminated.

Labels:  Excellent. - no writings, doodles or stickers.

Vinyl: Play tested. Looks VG with some feathering but  no feelable scratches. Near Excellent to Excellent for playback with some minor background only. No skips/jumps. Lovely sound. Not played for many years before play testing so would benefit from a light clean to bring up to its best.

 Postage & packaging:

Russian bidders – please note that I will only post to Russia using the ‘Signed For’ airmail service so please do not bid unless you are prepared to pay the extra cost for the ‘Signed For’ service.

      Gradings.......

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.

Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.

Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches.

Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and more significant scratches.

Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.

Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc

Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
