This record has been cleaned and played through completely both sides on a Thorens Turntable as well as visually inspected under a bright halogen desk lamp to provide an accurate grading.
LP’s are packed outside their covers to guard against ring-wear & splits during transit and then placed inside a plastic outer protective sleeve for safe delivery.

CONDITION
VINYL : immaculate / barely any mark of note / plays through as new / no skips or pops / clean labels / new shine throughout / no lead in-out hiss and a super clean sound / impossible to fault really and Rated just about Near Mint in my book.SLEEVE : superb / no writing or marks / no splits and the spine is intact / the corners are square / just the faintest hint of ring-wear and barely worth a mention (see photos above) / very impressive 1st edition cover and just about the best you could hope for these days.
DESCRIPTION
An absolutely brilliant original 1st pressing blue label (the ‘roo’ was no longer printed on the labels by EMI at this stage) copy of AC/DC’s 5th album, and the last to feature production work from mentors Harry Vanda and George Young. New bassist Cliff Williams also makes his recording debut here.Probably the least known of the bands Bon Scott albums in that there isn’t a stand-out anthem in the mould of Dirty Deeds, TNT, Long Way To The Top etc which in no way means it is not a great album …in fact it is downright awesome !! …chock full of bluesy rockers, Angus lets rip with riffs galore and Bon is really coming of age here as a lyricist.
For some reason Powerage didn’t have the immediate impact and clout it deserved and was treated rather like the calm before the storm ( i.e. Highway To Hell was brewing) which is a crying shame as this ranks right up there with any of their best work …play it a few times and you’re sure to agree.
A killer of an album ….as were all of Bon Scott’s work with the band….. and you’ll be doing very well to find an original 1st Aussie pressing in this top condition … a top notch gem !!
