Condition:

Record= NM(-)  record's surface shows very few slightly (!) hairlines -
visible under bright light, playes great !
Cover = ??   handpainted original artwork cover

Comment:
Arktis were a band from Bonn, Germany. Founded in 1973 by Karin Töppig (vocals),

Klaus Blachut (guitar, producer), Klaus Göllner (bass) and Harry Kottek (drums).
They released their first LP in 1974 as a private pressing of 300 copies only.
This release was intended as PR measure and was submitted to radio stations and music mags in hopes of landing a contract with a major label. They were never on sale in regular record shops.

This copy here was a gift to an artist and friend of the band, whom they told to go ahead and paint his own cover, which he did. Nothing more is known about the artist but his work is rather attractive and makes this copy absolutely unique. The artist comments it was his 'graffity-phase' ... :-)

The original cover is just plain white with only a photocopied black sticker 'ARKTIS' on front.

He named his artwork 'Rare Girl' (writing on back of cover), after the long track on side 2.

It's seems to carry the artists signature.

This isn't just a rare item - this is a unique item from the mid-70's Kraut-Rock area !!

100 % original-press, no doubt !!
Record condition = very nice - barely played !!!
