Description
This version of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band matches the description found in discogs as a 1969 Reissue made in France. In addition to a match in matrix numbers, these features also verified:
No locked groove after "a day in the life". Odeon Emi. Black on blue-white labels. Gatefold cover (flipback glue-tabs on inner spread). A 'cut-outs' card insert (full-color, single-sided. Printed signatures of Blake/Haworth at foot). Printed in Germany. Sleeve reads: Printed in Germany. On label: PCS 7027 S YEX 637/638, made in France by Pathe Marconi.
The glossy jacket has light corner wear, little to no edge wear, no marks, rings or splits, a few scratches on back jacket - in EXCELLENT CONDITION. Cut-out "Printed in Germany" in Excellent unused condition. LP stored in clear plastic inner sleeve, LOOKS GREAT with perhaps a faint scratch or two, in the VG++ to NM range, I'll grade VG++ to be conservative.
AS A BONUS, TWO ADDITIONAL "MADE IN USA" INTACT CUTOUTS ALSO FOUND WITH LP. The Printed in Germany cutout is on thicker cardboard paper with a paper-like finish (in contrast to a glossy finish) with a clean back. The Printed in U.S.A. are glossy, thinner paper, with some light soiling around the edges on the back.
