Description
This is an American 33.3 RPM Long Playing Record titled AMERICAN NEGRO JAM SESSION. Label / Number is Folk-Lyric FL 111. This is a collection of informal sessions recorded from 1959 to 1960 in several country sections of Louisiana by Harry Oster. Performers include Butch Cage, Willie B. Thomas, Clarence Edwards, Robert Pete Williams and Smoky Babe among others. Among the fourteen selections are "Mississippi Heavy Water Blues", "Who Broke The Lock", "Your Dice Won't Pass", "Going Downtown Boogy", "Foxhunt", "Stack Of Dollars" ands "Brown Skin Woman". Record has a few light scuffs, but plays extremely well with fine fidelity. Labels have light wear and scuffing. Cover has some ring wear, scuffs, tears, creasing, light staining, a small name in the upper front corner plus a 3 1/2" split in the upper right seam and an 8" split taped) in the bottom right. There is also a ten page insert with notes and lyrics (which is starting to discolor). Condition is: Record - VG++ Labels - VG++ Cover - VG This is the Real Thing.
