Bob Marley and the Wailers: Soul revolution part II

Released in Jamaica in 1971. The record was produced by Lee Perry. I guess the record needs no further description. It’s a very rare original Jamaican release. So only of interest for collectors, as this LP has just been re-released on JAD.

The record looks Excellent, but it’s a Jamaican pressing and those early pressings don’t match European or US standards. So there is a little bit of  surface noise all the way, but the music sounds clear. The record is without scratches, except for the last track of side two(Brainwashing). Near the end of this track there is a little rough spot which you can see and hear. Absolutely no jumping. There is some writing on the label of side two: some crosses before the last track (Brainwashing), probably to indicate that it is a very strong track. (see picture of label below).

The sleeve is in Very good+(+) condition. It’s made of cardboard, which is none too flexible and still looks  well for such an oldie, but at the downside as well as at the upperside the front and backside of the sleeve have let loose: upside for 1/3¸ downside for half of the sleeve. MINT (M)The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioriation in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Recods advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT (EX)The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing

VERY GOOD (VG)The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surfacemarks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G)The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some destortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F)The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surfacenoise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or defaced.

POOR (P)The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B)The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler.
