This listing is for one (1) 1980 JOURNEY DREAM, AFTER DREAM LP vinyl record album on CBS/Columbia Records. This original US pressing soundtrack LP comes from my personal record collection, so it has been handled and stored very carefully. It is used and is in very good playing condition with some visible light/minimal surface scuffs or scratches. The cover shows some shelf wear, and the inside jacket shows just a little wear. Plays very clean, with a few audible pops and clicks here and there. This was a different direction for the rock band, as they were asked to write and record a soundtrack for the Japanese film, Yume, Yume No Ato. It is mostly instrumental, but Steve Perry does sing vocals on three of the tracks, "Destiny," "Sandcastles," and probably the most Journey-sounding song on the album, "Little Girl." Also includes, "Snow Theme," "A Few Coins," "Moon Theme," "When The Love Has Gone," "Festival Dance," and "The Rape." It's reported that the band took 19 songs into the studio when they recorded Departure, but they trimmed that album down to 12 songs, so one has to wonder if maybe some of the 7 that didn't make Departure ended up here. At any rate, this album is a nice departure (pardon the pun) from their more commercially friendly releases, and makes a nice addition to anyone's LP collection! Also included is a bonus 7-inch 45rpm single of "Open Arms," with "Little Girl," as the B-side, which shows quite a bit of wear (see photos). From a pet-free, non-smoking home. Enjoy!
