I bought this LP new in November 1969.
Cover - Shrink on but about 1/4 missing on front cover. Arc from the middle of the open end to about the middle of the bottom is gone. Shrink also torn on front so about 1/2 folds back from the open end. Open end shows a few bumps, and there is an indentation line near the bottom right that extends about 2 inches in from the opening. Slight bit of price tag residue at top left corner, on shrink. No writing, no cardboard splits. Bit of shelving rubbing on bottom, in from open end. One of the most impressive cover pictures I’ve ever seen.
Vinyl - Some rubs/smudges, a few light marks. No effect on play. Labels dated as 1965/1966 to 1970 by bsnpubs and cvinyl.
Sleeve - Clear plastic.

Certainly one of the best cover photos ever.
The dating of the recordings on the back cover places these selections from 1952 to 1960. My research places Willie Dixon on bass for nearly every cut. Although Walter is frequently attached to Muddy Waters, these examples feature Muddy only on a few cuts.
Little Walter could carry the load.
Outstanding songs presented by one of the brightest Chicago Blues lights. In addition to Willie Dixon, the backing includes variously Robert Lockwood Jr, Louis and Dave Miles, Luther Tucker, Fred Below, George Hunter, Fred Robertson and Otis Spann. These guys were part of what is called the Chicago Blues from the 1950’s.
