This record is from my extensive soundtrack collection. I have been collecting film scores for over 40 years and was very meticulous in caring for them.
This album is on the RCA VICTOR (Australia) Label. The record number is LPM-1136. The label says it is stereo, however I believe that it is a monaural LP. The film score composer is Walter Schumann. The album was rereleased in late 70's.
The record is in near mint condition and the album cover is very good condition but has some slight wear on the lower right corner which is visible in the picture.
On this album, Charles Laughton reads the story with sound effects from the film. The film starred Robert Mitchum and Shelley Winters and co-starring Lillian Gish, with James Gleason and Peter Graves (I think his first role). This album is classic, and the import pressing makes it even better. The cover art work is from the original 1955 album. Truly a collector item and very RARE!
