Vinyl LP: PINK FLOYD "The Dark Side Of The Moon" (HARVEST SHVL 804) original UK stereo 1973 FIRST pressing
You are bidding on the legendary FIRST PRESSING of this classic progressive masterpiece. Gatefold cover is the "dark blue" shade of black, not to be confused with later pressings which are plain black in comparison. Labels have "THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD" label text and the all important "solid blue triangle". Record comes in original black inner sleeve with WHITE INK "Made In Great Britain" and "Patent Nos." text. Sadly the posters and stickers are missing, but could easily be obtained from another copy. A great addition to any serious progressive collection...
CONDITION : (Sleeve/Record) VG/VG
DESCRIPTION : Record has obviously been enjoyed by its previous owner. Record has light edge warp, which does not interfere with play in any way. Record plays with very light background crackle during quieter passages, but nothing very intrusive. Side one starts a wee bit crackly, but this quickly disappears into the background once the music starts. Has one barely noticable skip, right at the start during the ticking clock intro, so hardly intrusive in the music - side two plays fine... Labels are pristine. Inner sleeve has light wear. Cover has light ringwear and the odd wee mark. Has edge wear along gatefold spine and top and bottom edges - could be coloured in with black pen if desired... inside of gatefold is in far better condition. I've sold a MINT- copy of this album for $500+ so this is a good opportunity to obtain a playable copy for a realistic price.

SMALL PRINT : I am first and foremeost a collector, and grade strictly as I wish everyone would. Records will be well-packed between cardboard, and sent in record mailers. In the interests of the environment, these will be recycled whenever possible. Albums will be removed from outer sleeve to avoid seam splits in transit. All records are sent with a certificate of posting, if you wish additional insurance please ask – I cannot be held responsible for missing parcels.
