Tarkio Road was Brewer & Shipley's breakthrough album, featuring the hit "One Toke Over the Line." "One Toke" landed Brewer & Shipley on Nixon's Enemies List and was banned by the FCC. But that didn't stop Lawrence Welk from featuring "One Toke Over The Line" on his show. Several artists recorded the song in 1971, apparently thinking it was a gospel song.
