Description
This is not the 1959 First Issue since the jacket features Take Five while the 1959 First Issues did not feature this hit. There is a 1960 release on discogs which appears to be this one. That description reads,
"6-Eye Columbia Label, 2nd issue. Cover-design elements (For determining issue version): On front cover: Text says: "Featuring Take Five, Blue Rondo A La Turk", Cat# in oval circle, No text saying "Columbia Guaranteed High Fidelity" in upper right corner. That logo is found on the back of cover. Cover painting is the slightly cropped painting version, as opposed to the full version painting found on the 1st issue version."
The matrix numbers on this are:
Side A: XSM-47855-2BG (with a character or two additionally such as a small circle) Side B: XSM-47856-2CL (also seen with an additional pair of straight lines)
IN SUPERB CONDITION!
Jacket with light corner wear, little to no edge wear, no rings or splits - the main quality issue is a stain seen on back corner which extends to spine but not front cover.
LP stored in original blue lined inner sleeve which has no splits. LP removed from that inner sleeve and stored separately in plain white inner sleeve to retain current excellent condition. LP LOOKS GREAT, with no scratches seen on clean vinyl, will grade in the VG++ to NM range.
