Description
This is an ORIGINAL 1971 SANTA MARIA PRESS with these features as described in discogs:
2-color burgundy & black varnish-print sleeve, with radius corners and embossed "Doors" text . The front has a cut-out window with clear acetate, on which the band photo is printed black half-tone. The disc is contained in a yellow radius corner liner, which provides a yellow background to the cover image when inserted into the sleeve. The back of the liner has a black-print 'crucifix' image.
1. This issue has the 'Columbus Circle' address on sleeve back and labels. 2. This issue does not have the Warner Bros 'W' imprint on the 'butterfly' labels. 3. This issue is a the Santa Maria pressing. 'Terre Haute' pressing found here: L.A. Woman 4. Shrink-wrap of the issue may have an over-sticker "Includes the hit single Love Her Madly".
"The Changeling" appears on sleeve; "Changeling" on label. "The WASP (Texas Radio And The Big Beat)" appears on sleeve; "The WASP (Texas Radio & The Big Beat)" on label.
The matrices are consistent with those on the discogs Santa Maria press including the Artisan logo on both matrices.
Jacket with light to moderate corner and edge wear, no splits or marks, few creases on the sleeve near the spine, light ring back jacket. LP stored in original inner sleeve, small split bottom center 1-2", no other splits. LP LOOKS QUITE PLAYABLE with a faint scratch or scuff over clean vinyl, I'll grade in the VG++ to NM range, closer to NM.
