LSD: THE ACID WORLD (Guidance Associates / Harcourt, Brace & World 249)

• Condition : Vinyl is VG++ to NM across 4 sides, mostly plays NM. Not issued with cover, I have included a blank jacket for protection. Slight writing on labels.
• Description : Circa late 1960s or early 1970s educational filmstrip soundtrack. This is a 2LP set, however each LP has the ubiquitous "DING!" ("Audible Signal" to tell the projector operator to advance the film) on side one and the same program without the "ding" ("Inaudible Signal") on the other side, so it's really a single album's worth of material. This was originally supplied to schools, libraries and so on (not ever sold in shops) and would have been packaged with a filmstrip and an instruction booklet, both of which are long gone, sorry to say. This is an outstanding example of the genre, has been written up on the online version of Acid Archives, and is pretty rare as well, I've never seen another copy. The first part is a typical documentary style program with interviews with doctors, LSD users, dope dealers etc. Part two is especially interesting as they saw fit to record the impressions of a guy tripping his face off, complete with plenty of reverb on his mic and creepy horror-movie style background music! Also has some bits of classic rock songs like "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" and "White Rabbit" (and they used the actual Beatles & Airplane recordings, probably without permission). You cannot return a record simply because you don't like the music.
• Records are shipped in a cardboard record mailer with sufficient padding, and the disc is removed from the jacket to prevent seamsplits.

• Please do not ask me to email you with a list of every song on an LP. If you are looking for a specific song, inquire with the name of the song, I'll check ASAP to see if it's on the LP and reply promptly, but I don't have time to type out the names of every track, sorry to say. Also, sorry but requests from underbidders along the lines of "I didn't win, could you A) dub the record to CD for me B) ask the high bidder to dub the record to CD for me or C) give me the winner's email so I can ask" are ignored due to legal and privacy concerns.
