Max Reger: Sonatas for Violoncello & Piano 

Rare German first press vinyl 2LP box set released in the 1960s on the CHRISTOPHORUS label with catalogue numbers SCGLP 75879 and SCGLP 75880.  

This is an archive copy from the label. It has never been played, only once to rate the quality of the vinyl.

Beautiful clothbound box in perfect condition! The two laminated covers (one has a tiny buckle on the front, see picture), original inner sleeves, and vinyl all AS NEW in perfect conditon. LP 1 is absolutely flawless, LP 2 has a hairline which cannot be heard when the record plays, probably a defect from the pressing plant when the record was slipped into the inner sleeve.

Labels are perfect, no spindle marks.

Famous cello performance by Ludwig Hoelscher accompanied by Karl Heinz Lautner on piano, recorded with true audiophile sound quality. It is an amazing performance, the playing is really beautiful.
