(IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded!; we  grade records under the strong, diffuse room light or discrete sunlight)

(a)          CAUTION! The vinyl is only VERY GOOD (-)  VERY GOOD - , with multiple, numerous, small scuffs and scratches which are BOTH visible AND audible.

(b)      PLAY-GRADED, THE RECORD PLAYS BEAUTIFULLY, PROBABLY ENTIRE GRADE ABOVE ITS VISUAL GRADE, WITH ONLY MILD AND TOLERABLE SURFACE NOISE AND FEW CLICKS AND POPS (TYPICALLY IN BETWEEN THE TRACKS), WITH FULL DYNAMIC RANGE AND ABSOLUELY NO DISTORTION WHATSOEVER

(c)             The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(d)          The record has a "deep groove" (an indent in the label about 1/2-inch from the edge of the label, which on SOME labels is associated with very early or first pressings).

(e)           This is the original flat-edge pressing

(f)            Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·       COVER

THE COVER IS SLIGHTLY DAMAGED AND DEFACED AND IS ONLY ABOUT GOOD++ (G++).

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-        The cover has numerous “kiddie” stamps on both sides (play-stamps with images of horses, phrases, numbers, etc).  By our count, there are 12 such stamps on front cover, and no less than 18 on the back side. Folks, please don’t give your $1,000 albums to your kids to play with. Luckily (and miraculously) neither the cover damage nor kiddie stamps affect any of the liner notes on the back panel.

-        Front cover has a visible  peel-off marks on the top seam (a small piece of paper slick is missing, but the cardboard base is intact and unaffected) (less than 1 square inch in size);  (VISIBLE ON FRONT SIDE ONLY)

-        Cover has some writing on its back side (a small filing code written on top seam, about 1 square inch in size)

-         Cover has all three seams (top, bottom and spine) partially split,  as follows:

-         Top seam: between 6 and 8 inches  /15 to 20 centimeters. This split seam was delicately taped by the previous owner with a piece of transparent scotch tape

-         Bottom seam: completely split; This split seam was delicately taped by the previous owner with a piece of transparent scotch tape

-         Spine: less than 1 inch / 2.5 centimeters.

-         Cover has some visible fraying/tattering on all three seams

-         Cover has all four corners slightly worn / dinged / bent.

-         Cover has some light ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 3 (front side) and 4 (back side)

-        A visible water stain  (VISIBLE ON BACK SIDE ONLY) affects the area about 2 inch wide along the top seam and one bottom corner (about 10% of the surface); there is no structural damage to the cover, and both cardboard base and paper slick are intact, however, the stain is visible and has caused some erosion in the firmness of the cover , a few tiny moldy spots,  visible yellowish discoloration, and a slight warp in the affected area.

-         Cover shows some yellowing on back side, apparently from aging.

-         Back cover has circular tarnish (grayish, dust-covered sections, which closely follow the contour of the record),  probably caused by friction or by rubbing against other covers during the storage. The tarnish is similar in appearance to a common ring wear, but, UNLIKE ring wear, these grayish areas may be possible to clean up with a minor effort and with a right cleansing solution.

-         The cover has a few tiny scratch marks on the front side  (nothing significant)

-         Cover has a few tiny wrinkles along the spine

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No stickers or labels

-        No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover

-        No glue traces or wax residue.

-        No bar codes

-        No RIAA stamps or stickers.
