If you’ve been following my auctions, you’ve probably figured out that I’m slowly unloading my vinyl collection. I’ve been adding between 10 and 12 items each week, usually on Friday evenings or over the weekend. I still have several hundred LPs left, mostly all rock albums from the 60’s, 70’s, & 80’s. There’s lots of obscure stuff as well as more common items. I usually auction everything I have by a particular artist at one time, whether it’s one record or a dozen. Check back regularly as the remainder of my beloved vinyl slowly vanishes.
Records are visually graded.Shipping & handling to a US address in the 48 contiguous states is set at $6.00 flat rate. This covers the actual cash I have to cough up at the post office, as well as the cost of packing materials and ebay fees. I can usually ship several LPs for that price, although I underestimated postage a couple times and had to eat it. Oh well… if I was auctioning off Beatles butcher covers for thousands of dollars a pop then I’d likely just absorb the handling costs, but my LPs won’t sell for that much so my profit margin is very thin in most cases. Please understand that, unlike some ebay sellers, I am not looking to make additional profit by piling on a bunch of excessive S&H fees. I just don’t want to lose my shirt as I begrudgingly sell off my record collection.
