If you're after excellent revisions of tried-and-tasted classics from the disco and boogie era, Los Angeles' producer Luxxury is one of the best in the business - and happily his 'expensive sounding music' is affordable to all. He goes big on the eighth instalment of his excellent 'Reworks' series, delivering fine new versions of million-selling hits. He begins by tampering with the Queen of Pop herself, delivering a dubbed-out, heady and bass-heavy rub of 'Vogue' ('Don't Just Stand There') that's worth the admission price on its own. Elsewhere, The Clash go under the scalpel on party-starter 'Ban That Boogie Sound', 'Watch Out Boy' gives a Hall & Oates favourite a dreamy and dubby makeover, and 'Feel That Heat' turns a Michael Jackson disco hit into a Reflex style revision replete with a gorgeous piano breakdown.
