Description

LXT 2651-2656, Parsifal by Wagner. The Bayreuth Festival Orchestra & Chorus conducted by Hans Knappertsbusch. Singers include George London, Ludwig Weber & Martha Modl. The box is damaged at the top as the photos show but the front picture is very good and each of the 6 lps are in separate sleeves and these are in excellent/near mint condition. Each sleeve has very shiny laminate in great condition but this does not show in the photos very well. The lps are excellent. There are some superficial marks and scuffs but none that would affect the sound. These are old lps though and some surface noise is inevitable. This set was recorded at the Bayreuth Festival Theatre in 1951 and the lps have a unique label as shown in the main picture. I have listened to some of this and the sound is very good and very atmospheric. I have taken several photographs to show how good these lps are. The original polythene sleeves are included.e
