In 1972, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley helped record the backup vocals for three songs: "Celebrate I", "Celebrate II" & "Weddin" on this ULTRA-RARE album by Lyn Christopher.

THIS WAS THEIR FIRST PROFESSIONALLY CREDITED APPEARANCE ON VINYL! THE YEAR THAT KISS WAS FORMED!!!!!!!!!!!

Peter Criss and his brother are reputed to have "clapped" on "Celebrate I" and "Celebrate II".

This album was never released on CD and is next to impossible to find on vinyl.

Lyn Christopher talks about Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons

Posted in Uncategorized by Chevy Roll

In 1973 Lyn Christopher released her self-titled debut album, which featured Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons doing backing vocals on a handful of tracks. Recorded back in ’72 at New York City’s Electric Lady Studios, the album was produced by Ron Johnsen who would work with Paul and Gene again later on. Paul and Gene appear on the tunes Weddin’, Celebrate I and Celebrate II. An interview with Lyn Christopher, who still performs with a band, has just appeared on The NY Journal News website. “It’s an honor to still be recognized as a force in KISS’ early career. Now I believe it is time for my own recognition," she states.

LYN CHRISTOPHER is the beautiful & talented jazz vocalist. This lovely native of Southern California literally got her vocal training at home. Her mother, an opera singer and voice teacher, helped Lynne perfect her three and a half octave range. Although adept in most any musical genre, her first love is jazz and the blues - something her high energy performance and straight ahead style make evident from her sweet ballads to her soulful blues and swing.

Lyn can also perform many songs in R & B, funk, soul, pop and rock to light up a crowd! Her tunes range from the 50's to the present including many old standards too!

For the past eight years Lyn has enjoyed a successful career in the Tahoe/Reno area working for major hotels such as Caesar's and the Hyatt Regency. She has performed numerous concerts for the "Love Of Jazz Society" in Reno, Nevada.

In 1994 Lyn enjoyed a successful tour including Osaka, Japan, Spain, Italy and the Caribbean. Lyn played a principal role in Brian Farnon's musical version of "Scrooge" at Harrah's main show room in South Lake Tahoe.

Lyn has also recorded five radio and television advertising jingles for Tin Pan Alley Productions (based in Lake Tahoe). The commercials are currently being aired in Washington, Minnesota, Oregon and Idaho.

She features the best in Rock, Standards, Jazz, Blues, Country, Pop, and Bossa Nova Songs.
