Description

This is a lovely copy of "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" by Genesis.  I bought it myself in 1974 on the day it came out, as I was a very keen Genesis fan.  In fact, I was never that taken by this album, and as a result it has been hardly played.  I had a really good turntable, arm and stylus even back them, so it's always been played on decent equipment on those the rare occasions I put it on the deck.
The album is on the Charisma label with the "mad-hatter" on one side of each album.  The record number is CGS101.  The matrix/run-out are marked:-
CG 1 A -2U PORKY X JOHNNIE CG 1 B -2U PECKO CG 2 A -2U PECKO CG 2 B -2U PORKY
The label also says "Marketed by B & C records", which according to Discogs is likely to be the earliest pressing.  And as I say, I bought it the day it came out...
The cover is in excellent condition - it has been kept in a vinyl transparent cover for all its life, and looks almost new.  There is a little creasing to the corners.  The spine is unbroken and undamaged.  The glue holding the cover together has failed at the top, but that's easy to repair - I'll leave that to you.
The inner sleeves are also excellent - I've never used them, but put the records in decent inners, which I will supply.
The vinyl is unmarked and pristine.  I've played it today for the first time in perhaps forty years - it sounds like it did on the day I bought it.
