A lasting classic from the great Landy Nova -- a 70s salsa session at the core, but one that also seems to carry on some of the energy of the Latin Soul generation too! Landy handled all the songs and arrangements himself -- and the lyrics are a mix of English and Spanish, sung by Chino Mendez and Diego Negron -- with a soulful finish that's underscored by some of the album's great use of vibes -- which really opens up some of the jazzier tones in the tunes! Two numbers are great sol ballads -- "Oh Love" and "There's No One To Blame" -- almost in a heartbreaking Joe Bataan mode -- and other tracks include "Borinquen", "Rompe Coco", "Siempre Palante", and "Quiereme Mujer".
