Description

Blue Note 4187 with New York USA address on both labels; 43 West 61st St. address on the bottom of the back cover. Record has “ear” and “van gelder”. Inscribed in the dead wax. 5 tracks with Sam Rivers, tenor sax; Grant Green, guitar; Elvin Jones, drums. Rare. Cover: VG to VG+. 5” and 1” scotch tape repair on the top edge. 2” scotch tape repair on the spine. Tear approximately 1” x ½” on upper corner at spine. 1” bottom edge split. Light aging on the back cover. Lighter aging on the top white section of the front cover. Record: VG+. Visually shows light wear with numerous light rub markings with 1 appearing as a light scratch. There is some light crackling in a number of places including some light repeated clicks. The described scratch results in only a few light clicks. As is characteristically of many Blue Notes, the interference from surface marks is rather minimal. As mentioned, there is some light crackling in places. Audibly checked.
